If you follow me on Instagram, you would already know my growing obsession with tights and skirts. For a few weeks in autumn, I tried to not wear any jeans at all and started to experiment more with dressy outfits instead of my usual laid-back casual style. I think I just wanted to give myself a challenge for a few weeks and let me tell you it was the best thing I could have possibly done for my style. I started to really become more adventurous. Experimenting with different patterend tights, different materials and patterns of skirts has really made me more creative with my outfits. A great pair of knee high boots goes one step further, making a bold fashion statement of its own.

for this specific outfit, i decided to go with a crispy white wool jumper that has small white pearls scattered all over the top half of it, the number of pearls were highly concentrated on the top half of the jumper and started to become more sparse as it went down to the sleeves. I really like how the pearls are laid out so effortlessly all around the top half of the jumper. The scattered effect of the pearls makes it look so natural and simple while still having a small pop of detail to it. It also adds some unique character to it while not overdoing it with the detail. I found that I could easily style this jumper both up and down because of this. What I liked most about this jumper is that it is really warm and cosy. the material is wool but it has this soft fluff all over it which makes it the softest thing in the world.
For the bottom half of this outfit, i decided to pair it with a simple thick black skater skirt. The reason why you see this skater skirt everywhere is that it has this thick material which means that it won't fly up in the windy winter days. The thick material also means that it will keep you super warm during those cold days which is something that is quite hard to find with skirts in the winter. Personally, I usually wear a pair of shorts underneath my skirts just to add another layer which will keep me warmer.

With these gold-embroidered shoes, I decided to pair it with just a simple black tight just so they wouldn't clash with the bold statement shoes. The knee high boots are obviously the most important thing in this blog post. I picked these up from a cute little boutique in Amsterdam. The boots themselves are a nice thick suede material which is perfect because it means that they won't fall down when you are walking around doing your thing during the day. Another bonus of this awesome material is that I can't feel anything it protects me so well from the cold, the wind and all the rain in Europe. The boots have some embroidery that has been stitched on with a sparkly gold thread. I personally think that this gives these boots such a unique touch to them. The boots themselves have a medium sized block heel which is so comfortable to walk on for a long period of time and this statement coming from me is a big thing because I cant walk with heels to save my life.
