Styling Velvet Polka Dots

As you may have noticed in my previous blog post I have a bit of a ridiculous obsession with tights, all colours, patterns and fabrics so when I saw this pair in Calzedonia I was immediately in love I mean how would I not? A pair of beautiful tights with an elastic waistband and velvet polka dots all over it, it was just screaming my name.

So I immediately decided to purchase them and created this look for you guys.

Top:

The top that I am wearing in this look is a beautiful thin black cotton material which is perfect for the spring and summer time, however, because it is quite flowy it also made it perfect for the winter because I was capable of layering things underneath it to keep me toasty in the cold winter days. The black top also has velvet polka dots which made it even more perfect for this look and really made everything tie together. The arms are quite flowy but are tied in by the wrists which gives it a more feminine feel to it, it also had there adorable little thing pieces coming out the collar which you can tie in all ways possible just how you like it I personally went for a bow which made my outfit way more girly.

Skirt:

For the lower half of the outfit, I decided to go with a wool skater skirt. Skirts, in general, are my favourite I would much rather always wear skirts instead of trousers or jeans because I find that they just make my outfit look so much better and it looks like I have put in so much more effort. This is a really nice thick dark olive high waisted skater skirt that basically makes any of my outfits.
